Hi Everyone!

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page raising money for the MND Association, by sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. 

As some of you may already know, my Grandfather, Iorwerth Lewis, sadly passed away because of this disease. Unfortunately, I never got to meet my grandfather as he passed away before I was born. My Grandmother often tells me stories about when he was alive and he sounds incredible. He was very loved by my family and this awful disease took him away at short notice. Unfortunately, there is still no cure for MND but symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life. The MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to improve care and support for people affected by MND which is why I would like to raise funds for them to help people like my grandfather get the best possible quality of life. 

What is MND?

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.
