London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On the 3rd of October 2021, I will be running the London marathon for Alzheimer’s Society. This is charity that is very close to my heart as  both my grandma and grandad having passed away from dementia.

Dementia is not a normal part of ageing and takes away the person you love,  the impact of which is devastating. The Alzheimer’s Society provides a community where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice until a cure is found.  They also carry out research to help provide treatments and find a cure for dementia.

Running a marathon for the Alzheimers society has always been a goal of mine and I feel now is the perfect time to actually do it! The coronavirus pandemic means that they need your help more that’s ever. In the run up to the marathon I will be carrying out and taking part in various fundraising events so keep an eye out and if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate them!

Please donate so that we can ensure no one or family has to go through the pain and suffering of dementia.
