Story

Depending on when you find yourself reading this will approximately mark 6 years since our real life super hero found herself anxiously waiting for her results at the Royal Marsden in Sutton, Surrey. It was then that our world fell apart. On January 31st 2013 Laura Subba Row (my mum/ BFF!/soulmate/absolute rock ) walked out of the Marsden with her new Secondary Breast Cancer diagnosis. Armed with her super strength bravery cape, warrior armour and power mask - It was then that she embarked on a journey of becoming a real life super hero. Granted it's a journey we would rather not have had to endure BUT it's one that has enabled us to view life from all different perspectives.

Since then we have been looked after by Professor Ian Smith, Head of the Royal Marsden Breast Cancer Unit. We owe everything to the amazing team at the Marsden for everything they do for Mum and for all their ongoing support!

Behind the scenes The Marsden strives to find a cure for this horrible disease which touches so many of our lives. It seems to be everywhere we turn.

I have decided to run the London Marathon 2019 (because i'm crazy and I have no idea what to expect) but also to give something back to this amazing place and to say thank you to everything they do.

I will also be running in memory of my two angels-  my friend Torsie and my cousin Sam who continue to inspire me every day.

I know that we all get so many of these requests but anything you can give will help enormously. Together we CAN find a cure.

As always, we thank you for all your support because our team wouldn't be a team without you all!

All my love,

Emilie x x x
