Run to the Beat 2011 · 25 September 2011 ·

Safe Child Africa fearlessly protects children in danger, including those accused of witchcraft. For many, only Safe Child Africa will fight to protect them.

Story

After my somewhat pathetic attempt at the Silverstone Half Marathon earlier this year and my subsequent vow to never run again (!), here I am preparing for my 2nd Half Marathon - Run to the Beat 2011. A fantastic 13 mile run around East London on 25th September spurred along by various DJ's and Live Music Acts.

This time round, I am raising money for Stepping Stones Nigeria - a UK-based charity with a passion for defending and upholding the rights of children in the Niger Delta. Their vision is that all children in the Niger Delta will have access to their rights and are able to realise their full potential. Their work with children who have been abused after being accused of being "child witches" is what really touched my heart.

So please dig deep and donate now.
