Story
Since being born our youngest son Theo has been unable to eat like normal children and without the amazing care he receives at Sheffield Children's Hospital and Great Ormond Street we wouldn't be where we are today. They are our life line.
I wanted to raise money for one of these wonderful hospitals and have decided that I would also like to experience a little of what Theo goes through day to day whilst doing it.
Starting on the 22nd July for 7 days I shall be drinking Elemental Formula * whilst eating a diet of only Sweet Potato, Carrot, Pear, Chicken, Rice, Maize, Mango, Cooked Apple and Water. (Theo's only safe foods) Once the diet starts I shall be posting a diary on Facebook and keeping you all posted on how it's going. What I'm doing isn't that amazing but what Theo goes through day to day is! He's our super smiley boy with the courage of a Lion. However, without the care we receive from Sheffield and GOSH we would be lost.
Please, please give a little of your change to help this fabulous Hospital so that it can continue to help children like Theo.
* For those wondering what Elemental Formula is -
"amino acid-based formula, also known as an elemental formula, is a type of hypoallergenic infant formula made from individual amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and together they form the protein requirements in formula needed for growth and development." - smells like vomit, tastes worse than vomit!!!!!
