On 24th March I am going to swim a mile in memory of my Mum. Before this date I will be swimming the equivalent of the channel, 22 miles, so this last extra mile will be the toughest for me. Alzheimer's is a horrible cruel disease that takes your loved ones from you. It took my Mum over a period of 4 years and she passed away on 24th March 2016. So this last mile is extra special to me.
