Jurassic Coast Challenge 2021 · 22 May 2021 to 23 May 2021 ·

Dravet Syndrome UK is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults living with Dravet Syndrome through medical research, education and awareness and appropriate support.

Story

So in a moment of madness we decided to sign up to the Jurassic Coast Challenge! Over the weekend of 19th September 2020 we will be attempting to walk 100km! (62 miles).

We're starting from a very average (being generous!) level of fitness, so it'll be a challenge in itself over the next couple of months getting fit enough to even give this a go!

We thought this would be a great opportunity to raise a bit of money for Dravet Syndrome UK. A charity that over the past few years has helped to support our amazing friends, Katie and Lawrence and their gorgeous family.  Their little boy, Frank, had his first seizure at just 4 months old and since then they've had to face things no parent should.  Luckily Frank is a complete superstar and is not only surviving but thriving!

We all love him so much and anything this charity can do to help him and other little ones like him is well worthwhile so please please donate if you can.  We've already paid the full cost of taking part in the event so every penny we raise will go direct to the charity.

We've never walked anywhere near this far before but we're going to give it a good go!

Day 1 starts off in Poole Harbour then on to Corfe Castle, across to Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door to the Weymouth halfway point.

Then its an early start on day 2, on past Portland Bill, nature reserves, along the western end of Chesil Beach on along the cliffs at West bay before a finish line celebration in Bridport!

Wish us luck, we're going to need it!
