Story

I started running only 10 months ago, I love to challenge myself and I thought a half marathon is the next crazy step! I have found a charity close to my heart and I'd like to raise and much as I can :)

This is a little bit about them...

Rise is a domestic abuse charity working in Brighton & Hove and throughout West Sussex.

Rise stands for:

  • Refuge
  • Information
  • Support
  • Education.

Rise supports women, children, young people and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people affected by domestic abuse.

Their services include: refuge accommodation, resettlement, crisis appointments, helpline, counselling, housing, legal and financial advice, solicitors appointments, support groups, play therapy, 1-to-1 support and training and preventative education.
