High Peak Winter Trail 2015 · 15 November 2015 ·
I lost my amazing Dad, Alan Bentley (Bentos) to a heart attack in January 2015. He was just 62.
He was taken from us very suddenly and far far too soon.
To help us remember a life so well lived I (alongside a number of my fantastic friends) am taking part in a 17 mile hike in the Peak District on the 15th November.
I know it might not seem like a huge challenge for some, but those who know me know that I am not into this kind of thing so want to challenge myself and will complete this no matter what it takes and my friends are there to make sure I do!
Every six minutes someone dies of a heart attack in the UK and one in three people who have a heart attack die before reaching hospital.
Almost 1 in 5 men and 1 in 8 women will die from heart disease - and its the biggest cause of death in the UK.
In memory of my Dad I would just like to raise as much money as possible and try and prevent other families having to go through what we are.
