Story
On 4 February 2017 I will step into a boxing ring to face an opponent as part in White Collar Fighter 17 to help St Ann's Hospice as much as possible, in a effort to repay what they did for my family.
My father in law, Phil, passed away there in July 2014 after an intense year long battle with cancer. Every single staff member is phenomenal. I have the utmost respect for medical staff and I have no idea how they do their job. In particular, St Anns medical staff very very rarely get to reap the rewards of their efforts. They rarely get to see their patients get better and go home.
Despite this, they were always working their hardest and doing their best to do everything they could for Phil. we never felt like they "gave up" on him. They were always doing their best to follow the families wishes and nothing was too much trouble. and they do it all with a sympathetic smile, or hug, just when you need it.
The care and dignity provided at St Anns is second to none. I will be forever grateful that their services were available to us.
Any donations are gratefully received.
Those that know me know that I'm a bit soft and I've never taken or thrown a punch in my life. I don't believe that raising money for charity should be easy or fun. WCF will push my to my limit physically and mentally and completely out of my comfort zone.
