Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been a Trustee of Hospice UK for the last three years.  This has given me an amazing insight into the wonderful work that hospices do supporting people, and their families and friends, at the end of life.

Too many of us, me included, avoid thinking about death - our own and that of our loved ones.  It is too painful, too scary.  But hospices up and down the country help people do that.  To accept what is coming, help them make the most of the time they have left, and support their family and friends.  And they do this funded in large part through the generosity of local communities.

So as well as turning up to Board meetings, reading the Board papers and attending events, I thought it was about time I put some sweat and tears (no blood so far thankfully) into raising money for this important cause.

All contributions will be hugely welcome, and will help motivate me on my 5.45am training runs!

Thank you.

Emma
