Just over a 12 months ago I started running for the first time and could barely manage a mile. I am now getting ready to tackle my first marathon in May 2016 with the never ending support of family and friends. I am fortunate that my boyfriend is sacrificing his own run (2 London marathons under his belt!!) to support my run on the day.

Compassionate Friends provides unique support for bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. Sadly people close to me have experienced this grief and have found their support invaluable. I now regularly signpost people in both my personal and professional life to them. Like all charities they are dependant on fundraising to carry on providing the much needed support.

Please give what you can to make the miles worth it
