The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by MSA; a life-limiting neurodegenerative brain disease. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know my Mum suffered bravely against a condition called Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA). After a long struggle she passed away in February and is sorely missed daily. In running the London Marathon 2012 I hope to raise money for the MSA Trust that was so kind to my Mum. She was inspirational in life and I hope to honor her memory in pushing myself over 26.2 miles.

As you know I am not a great athlete, but I am determined to make the finish line and my Mum's memory will be with me all of the way.

* MSA is a progressive neurological disorder

* The disorder affects movement co-ordination and automatic body functions

* At present no known cure exists

The MSA Trust has been set up to research the condition to move closer to a cure and also offer information, support and education abour the condition.  The MSA Trust is able to offer my Mum and my Dad such valuable advice and support and I want to keep that going for them and other families dealing with MSA, as well as help to find a cure for MSA.
