Ironman Staffordshire 70.3 · 12 June 2016 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

2016:

3 Marathons

5 Half Marathons

Liverpool Triathlon

Ironman 70.3 (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle, 13.1 mile run)

My boyfriend Sam Irvin died of cancer in 2011 and was treated during his illness at the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at St James Hospital, Leeds. The charity do amazing work in offering an incredible environment for those in treatment & tailored support for young patients needs.

Sam did everything in his power to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust before he died so in 2012 myself & my friend Jodie completed Sam's wish for him by running the London Marathon... I couldn't run a mile when I started training in 2012, and kept up running since.  I wanted to really push myself out of my comfort zone once again to support the Teenage Cancer Trust and have dedicated 2016 into doing just that!

This will be by far the hardest thing I have ever done. Please support me through the next year by donating as much as you can.

P.s. I have covered all fees to enter the races out of my own money... So all money raised will of course go straight to Teenage Cancer Trust!
