The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

My Twin Brother Dylan was born with a congenital heart defect and has had to undergo 3 major open heart surgeries.

When we were born our parents were told that Dylan probably wouldn't survive birth and even if he did he probably wouldn't make it to his first birthday! But Dylan is still here today's and we are 8 years old now.

Dylan has been fighting a battle his whole life that no body can see! We spend a lot of time in the hospital and I have decided to raise some money by facing my own challenge. I hope to help raise awareness and some money to help other people facing similar difficulties at such emotional times, as a way of thanks to the sick children's trust at Scott house at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.

The sick children's trust at Scott house have supported us and offer us a home from home somewhere we can rest and be together as a family and still be close to Dylan.

Please if you can spare as little as a £1 it will go a long way to helping another family like ours just trying to get through such a difficult time and stick together!
