Last year I planned to ride 2021 miles as personal determination not to allow the Covid Pandemic to restrict my horizons and to raise money for a cause that is close to my heart. Both my parents died of cancer and, as a result, I have first hand experience of the wonderful and important work that Macmillan Cancer undertakes.

Due to a variety of reasons, (see: http://theericle.com/2021-a-year-of-failure/), I missed my target by some 600 miles. As a consequence I have reset the mileometer to zero and will be looking to cycle 2022 in 2022. However, I am not resetting my fundraising target but simply raising the bar by £1.
