As you know I am a keen swimmer and have taken part in the Great Swim series in 09 and trained my socks off for the Great North Swim last year only for it to be cancelled 2 days before (damn you green algae!!!)

This year I've decided to swim for the Forces Children's Trust which many of you may have seen on the Millies last year. They are a charity who is devoted to helping children in need whose father or mother has died, or has been seriously injured, whilst serving as a member of the British Armed Forces. Their motto is "To help a child is an honour" and I couldn't agree more.

So dig deep and give generously....after all it's me who'll be doing all the hard work!!! You donation will mean the world to a little boy or girl trying to come to terms with losing their hero x
