Thanks for visiting my page!
I'm running all the way out of my comfort zone in the Cardiff Half Marathon! Talking about mental health is so important, for those suffering. Those close who want to gain understanding and break the stigma. I have mental health problems and know so many who suffer in silence. Silence is the killer and I will not sit back and allow it anymore. We have to stand up and fight!
When I was younger, I was overweight and struggled with exercise. The mile run in high school took me 11 minutes. That was really slow for my age! But I finished! I plodded along and didn't give up. I wanted to challenge myself like that again, to know that I will keep going and wont stop. Relentless effort. I'm running in memory of my Uncle K, who was a truly beautiful and caring person. Who wanted only for us all to gather as a family. Unfortunately he was taken from us too soon.
The way we're dealing with mental health as a society needs to change. His death like many others should have and could been prevented, so lets raise awareness and combat this issue!
Many thanks again and see you on the finish line!
