For those of you who know me well, you'll know that I love cycling, and that I am also passionate about my role as a Paramedic. As a Paramedic I get to work with the dedicated staff of the Air Ambulance, and I thought it fitting that when I saw this challenge on behalf of The Air Ambulance my two great passions would be joined to the benefit of all who may need it. 

I also have a slight revenge mission with The Giant of Provence, aka, Mont Ventoux, the picture above is one I took last year, so as you can see I've been up this mountain before, and what I'd like to acheive on behalf of the charity is to see this view three times in one day, no small feat I may add, as this slight lump in southern France is 1910m high, a meer 6000ft to those of us who suffer from a lack of metric conversion. 

What some of you may not know is that every Air Ambulance in the UK is funded through charitable donations, that means that for every time it lifts off to attend someone in need no matter what that need may be, it is flying without any level of Government funding, so therefore every penny I raise with this venture will contribute to future recipients of it's care. 

For me personally this will be the first time I've raised funds in this way, normally my bike is for me, on this occasion it's for the benefit of others, so any money you may wish to put to the cause will be appreciated by not just me, but all who may need the bird in the sky, please give generously, and hopefully my target amount will be acheived, thank you all.
