I never thought I'd run a half marathon and after being pushed to do my 1st one last October, I'm ready to race again! My partner got my into it and he saw the improvement in my mental health when I ran.
I felt stronger and more determined in all aspects of my life during training. When race day came I was so nervous, but also so excited. Running has really helped propel me out of depression and whenever I feel anxious or uneasy, I just grab my trainers.
This year I'm running to fundraise for the neuroscience department at my University. I hope the research will help others suffering with mental health problems in the future!
