As a lot of you know, early this year my mum, Emma Stone passed away after a short 4 month battle with cancer. She was a very charitable woman and did her best to help everyone the best she could. When my mum was passing away she couldn't physically speak but she could hear everything I was saying to her and she responded by squeezing my hand, one of the last things I said to her was that I was determined to do her proud, sadly the day after she passed and every day after that I think of her and that I would do her proud. In her last few weeks with us my mum stayed at Kirkwood Hospice and she honestly couldn't have been treated better, she always had a smile on her face when I saw her there and the constant seeing to her by the nurses and staff was overwhelming, after seeing how happy my mum was at the hospice I decided that the hospice would be a perfect place to raise money for. With the help of a lot of family and friends we have came together and organised a fundraiser night at Comrades in Heckmondwike on the 7th of April, on the night their will be a bar, live music and a sponsored head shave with a large group of my friends. Tickets for the event will cost 5 pounds and all of the money will go towards Kirkwood Hospice. If anyone could donate any more money that would be amazing. Thank you!
