In memory of Charlie Craig
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

On April the 14th at High Peak Junction ,Cromford .

There is another  page for direct donations to CLIC sergeant if you'd like to donate to both.

We will be attempting to complete the everest cycle challenge for charities close to our hearts. We will be riding for Charlie Craig , apromising young cyclist who sadly passed away in his sleep and left a huge void in the cycling community , he was only 15. We will also be riding for our friend Ben who in april last year was diagnosed with a brain tumour and has recoverd from surgery and radiotherapy and now faces a year of chemo.

The charities we will be riding for is CRY (cardic risk in the young) who helping to raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD, SCD), including sudden arrhythmic death syndrome. CRY provide free heart scans to make sure that young people know if there is any undetected conditions with their heart sonthst they can be dealt with to prevent horrific events like what happend to charlie. The other charitie we will be riding for is clic sergant ;CLIC Sargent is a charity that supports young people with cancer to limit the damage cancer causes.  This meant that Bens family were able to stay at Billy's House whilst Ben was having radiotherapy. Billy's House is a house within walking distance from QMC and a short drive to city hospital, set up with living space for up to six families with children undergoing cancer treatment. It was completely free of charge and meant that they were able to stay as a family with Ben, reducing both the financial and emotional stress of his treatment.
These fantastic charities with your support will be able to continue to do the extraordinary things they do.
