Zoë's Place provides 24-hour palliative, respite and end-of-life care to infants aged 0-5 years with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We provide short-term regular care with our dedicated nursing staff, in a home from home environment to give parents and carers a well deserved break.

Story

My name is Evie-Anne Peel &  I am 6 years old, I have a very rare genetic condition called 1p36 deletion syndrome which affects me in many  many ways, mainly I am registered blind, I have severe dystonia &  epilepsy, I can not eat by mouth and I am fed completely by a gastrostomy button straight into my tummy, I have very low muscle tone &  I am fully wheelchair dependandant & I wear a spinal brace 23 hours a day as my spine is dangerously curved.
I take a lot of medication & have to have a lot of therapy on a daily basis, but I do not let my disabilities define me! I wake up everyday smiling & laughing, and I go to bed every night very happy!!!

Since I was 2 years old I have been visiting a very special place called Zoes place baby hospice, they give my mom & dad a short break from looking after me, which is very important as not just anyone can look after me without being medically trained, this lets them catch up on much needed sleep & do things they don't get to do with me with them, but the best part is I get to spend time with other poorly children just like me, we play & do activities together, go on outings, I get to use specialist equipment I don't usually have access to, I have so much fun at Zoes place!!!

Now I am 6 years old I can not go anymore as I am too old, so I am raising money to help them continue to help other children & there families  just like me!! And to say thank you for giving me a fun, loving, safe & special place to go for the last 4 years :)

I  am cutting all my beautiful long hair off, all the money raised will go directly to all my special friends at Zoes place, and my hair will be donated to the little princess trust who make special wigs for children with cancer!

Please help me raise as much money as I can, every penny counts, and helps put  smiles on the faces of very poorly children just like me!!!!

I wil be doing this on 23rd January 2016 4pm at  Fordes on the Green hairdressers in Meriden, CV7 7LN
