The COVID-19 response fund will fund additional items for Critical Care teams and other wards in North Wales affected by the pandemic.

Story

Thank your for supporting the specific hospital wards, departments or community healthcare services that are closest to your heart through the North Wales NHS Charity, Awyr Las (Blue Sky).Your support helps fund some of the added extras - big and small - that go above and beyond what the NHS is able to provide, making a real difference for local patients and their families when they need it the most. I am taking part in the "2.6"-Challenge created by the cancellation of the 26.6 mile ‘London-2020-Marathon’, which is a huge loss to so many charities. I hope to match 26.6 miles by briskly walking 2.6 miles a day for 10 days round Mynydd Llandygai Village. I hope to complete the first 2 miles as near to 26 minutes as possible; I have already completed 5 sessions at an average of 25.2 minutes.  I am very grateful for my 2 artificial hips and, if they don't seize up from metal fatigue, I intend to walk part of the route in my high heeled dance-shoes on my 75th birthday on May 13th
