Rape Crisis England & Wales is the charity working to end sexual violence and abuse. We are the membership organisation for Rape Crisis Centres who deliver specialist services to those affected by sexual violence in England & Wales. Together we aim to educate, influence and make change.

Story

Four years on from my 10K for Australian Cancer Research, I'm hitting the road again to run the Hackney Half Marathon AND the Vitality 10K in May 2019.

This time, I'm running for Rape Crisis UK.

One in five women have been sexually assaulted in the UK. Last year, Rape Crisis responded to 179,000 helpline calls.

They also provided 650,000 sessions of specialist support, which was a 44% increase in access of those services since '16-'17.

The number of people who want and need access to these services is rising.

In 2015, having access to free counselling from a rape crisis centre saved my life. By donating any spare change you have, you could help do this for someone else.

The next ten weeks are going to be painful, but I can't wait to cross the finish lines!
