Fence-a-thon · 12 March 2022

British-Ukrainian Aid supports people in any part of the world who are the victims of war or natural disaster, trouble, or catastrophe in particular by the supply of medical aid to such persons and organisations caring for them.

Story

We are reaching out to the fencing community to help and show your support by booking your slot at our 24 hour fence-a-thon. We aim to continuously fence the same bout for 24 hours (any weapon welcome, we have plenty of foil kit for people to use, but we welcome other weapons providing you bring your own and a few mates to fence against!)

We need fencers of all ages & abilities to come along (day or night) and do their bit to keep the match going!

Choose your time and stay as little or as long as you want. Fence for as long as possible or win/lose a few hits, have a break and fence some more :)

Complete beginners' are welcome too - full instruction will be given so EVERYONE can join in)

The minimum donation is £10.00 per fencer. All proceeds go to British-Ukrainian Aid (see below for more details)

If you are unable to attend, please do contribute to this cause regardless.

Thank you for being so supportive. Together, the fencing community of the UK can try and make a difference!

#StandWithUkraine

As the full-scale war escalates, stand with Ukraine now! Please help those in urgent need of items for immediate emergency, medical supplies, first aid kits, transportation & critical services. We raise funds to provide immediate, direct support.

Millions of Ukrainians fell victim of the Russian invasion and became hostages on their own land. The injured and wounded, orphaned children, the elderly, and internal refugees urgently need your help! With your support we hope to raise over £500,000* towards medical aid (e.g., the basic health kit is £440, covering 1000 people for 3 months; the pharmaceutical compliment pack is £2,200 and covers 10,000 people during 3 months; this can also supply the secondary level hospitals), tactical medicines and evacuation fund. The list of projects will be reassessed depending upon the severity of the situation (e.g., provision of food baskets might be added at a later stage). We work closely with charities and NGOs in Ukraine, that deliver medical and humanitarian aid directly to those in need.
