When our little girl Holly arrived 10 weeks early weighing just 2lb 8oz, we had never had any exposure to a Neonatal Unit and the amazing work that they do to looking after the tiny babies that are in their care.  From the nurses in the unit, to mothers who donate their breast milk, to those who process it to make sure its safe, all playing such an important part in getting babies well enough to go home.  Holly was in the neonatal until for 9 weeks so we were there every day until she reached 4lb 3 oz and was big and well enough for us to take her home and start our time as a proper little family and we couldnt have done it without them.

So I will be running my first 10K on Sunday May 26th as a way of saying a massive THANK YOU for all they did for Holly, Me and Mike.

The Countess of Chester this year launched the Babygrow Appeal where they aim to raise £3m to build a new Neonatal Until, which will have more cots and improved parents facilties for those who have to spend time there. So pleeeeeease sponsor me and help to make a small difference to some other little tiny babies.
