Ian passed away on Monday 29 March after a short illness. Ian was the beloved husband of Jennifer, adored father of Jamie and Fiona, stepfather to Greig, father in law to Ali, dear brother to Joy and grandfather to Abigayle, Roman, Finlay, Callum, Alice and Ruadhan.

Ian spent a number of days within the Intensive Care ward of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he received incredible care.. Ian’s family were also treated extremely well by the clinical team, with great respect  and kindness from the nursing staff who were always on hand to let the family talk to Ian by phone as Covid restrictions prevented them from visiting until his passing. 

Rather than floral tributes at Ian’s funeral, the family would like to raise funds for the patients and families of this ward and would ask anyone who would like to donate to do so through this page.
