This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. With your help, we aim to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. That's the equivalent of around 225,000 people every year. By taking part in Memory Walk you are helping us walk for a dementia free future and help people affected by dementia.Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together!

"I'm doing the memory walk for Alzheimer's this March.Hoping to do my walk on Friday the 19th.My walk is going to be local to where I live!Due to the present restrictions and also there are some lovely local walks to me.Just in my back yard as they say!Popeye my jack russel will be my companion for the afternoon! The plan is for a roughly two hour walk.Leaving my house across the road Eastwards towards Beacon banks.Across the field of Alpaca.Where Popeye will probably sniff and say hello to the Alpacas. Then past the badger sets where Popeye will probably have another sniff! The walk will take in the views of the lovely Yorkshire countryside including the White horse,Byland Abbey ,Coxwold and the pretty village of Oulstan .We'll probably stop to admire the views ,for a flask of tea and doggy snacks.Have a think about dad, who loved walking and hiking. Also the many clients that myself and the rest of the team from "the  Great care company" work with .Especially Kath H who we sadly lost ,who was a great character!
