Breast Milk Pasteuriser Fundraising · 28 June 2022

First Touch supports sick and premature babies cared for at St George’s neonatal unit in SW London. We fund state-of-the-art equipment and specialist staff training which are outside of the scope of NHS budgets, as well as a range of initiatives to support families during their stay on the unit.

Story

Breast milk is hugely important to premature and poorly babies. First Touch has a long standing commitment to helping mums at the neonatal unit and supporting the Milk Bank at St George’s Hospital.

Due to stress and anxiety some mums are unable to express milk for their baby and are grateful to milk donors who provide milk to the Milk Bank.

All donated milk meets strict health and safety criteria, and all donated milk needs to undergo pasteurisation treatment via a specialist machine;

First Touch has been asked to raise £26,490 to fund a new Milk Pasteuriser to ensure the continuity of the vital service provided by the St George’s Milk Bank. Please help us by supporting this wonderful initiative.
