Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We fully rely on donations from our local community and businesses to support the group as it’s totally funded by donations.

Our Community First Response (CFR) Group have expanded to a group of five community first responders. The areas we cover Include Flitwick - Ampthill - Wixams - Houghton Conquest - Maulden - Clophill - Stewartby

We support the East of England Ambulance Service by responding to 999 calls in our area. We are volunteers trained by the ambulance service and our role is to help stabilise the patient until the ambulance arrives. Some of our team include paramedics and Emergency Ambulance Crew team members.

Often when critical patients receive skilled help in the first few minutes, outcomes can be greatly improved. Typically we attend Category 1 (life threatening emergencies ) including cardiac arrest, seizures, and catastrophic haemorrhage. In addition to this our team members attend Category 2 (non life threatening emergencies ) including stroke, heart attack, falls and fractures..
