Great Manchester Run 2016 · 22 May 2016 ·

We support young people and adults with mental health issues in Manchester. We're an independent, self-financed charity offering services to those most in need. We promote positive attitudes to mental health to challenge stigma, increase awareness and work for better mental health for all.

Story

Five of Focus Insolvency Group's fabulous team are completing the Great Manchester Run on 22 May 2016. Andy Platt, Michelle Fielding, Anthony Pendleton, and Rachel & Philip Cooke will be completing the 10k distance, all in aid of Manchester Mind.

Manchester Mind are a local mental health charity which delivers services to young people and adults. Manchester Mind’s Advice Team provides free and impartial advice on welfare benefits, housing and debt to people with mental health needs living in Manchester. This can include helping with forms, sorting out problems with benefits, helping to challenge and appeal decisions and sorting out personal finances.

At Focus, we deal with individuals who are in debt on a daily basis, and unfortunately we often see the adverse affect that this can have on mental health. On a personal level, many of our friends and family have been affected by mental health issues. That's why we’re delighted to be running on behalf of Manchester Mind, who provide crucial support day and night to those who need support in times of hardship. So please dig deep to support this great cause!
