South Coast Mighty Hike 2022 - 13 miles · 12 June 2022 ·
Four lads with three different stories.
First of all Ben's Grandad 'Gerald Ackroyd' - Gerald had kidney Cancer 12 years ago however I am pleased to say he made a full recovery. He is loved dearly by his family and Grandson.
Samuel and Harry's Dad 'Tom Flaherty' - Tom was a lovely man who put family first and was full of wisdom, love and drive. Tom and Harry are proud of his achievements in life and the times they had spent with him, especially in 2020 within Lockdown, where we would spend quality time with him. Unfortunately they lost Tom to Esophageal Cancer within the summer of 2020. They would like to thank Macmillan Cancer for the ongoing support they are providing to patients and families going through the trauma of Cancer and also a special thank you to Ellenor Hospice for all the support they received during and after his passing. We miss him lots and hold him within our hearts.
Lastly Jon and Family - We sadly lost my dear father Frederick Dickson also known to many as Dick Dickson. Dad was such an amazing guy and soulmate to my mum Joan Dickson. We love and miss him every day that passes. There isn't a moment in life that doesn't remind us of the times we spent with him... Or his humour and comments.... (some below the belt). A quote from my brother - Dad never took life too seriously... It was far too important for that.
These are just a small group of stories.. I for one have people who are currently undergoing treatment who I care about dearly. I want to personally thank Macmillan for everything they do. They are a truly amazing charity.
