Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We're supporting a cause that has touched the lives of many of our friends, clients and colleagues over the years.
As a group of 5*, we're really not very good at cycling. Complete amateurs. So to grind those pedals for 4 days, across 4 countries is going to be huge challenge for all of us (especially our backsides). However by doing so, we hope to raise funds for the new, extended Macmillan Woodlands Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The Woodlands Centre is a vital local service - one that you hope you’ll never need, but one that sadly needs to expand. The new expanded Centre will increase capacity and will bring to an end patients’ current experience of often cramped conditions, not always having the privacy and dignity they deserve and sometimes having to travel to other hospitals for treatment. £1,550 can pay for one of the new chemotherapy chairs at the centre - so we are aiming to fund at least 3 of these, which will sadly be in constant use.
If you've read this far, hopefully you're contemplating a donation. If you are so inclined, it would be a huge boost to us when we are getting blown sideways by the gales blowing off the North Sea, and applying excess moisturiser to the Nether Regions (not to be confused with our final destination).
