Every year we provide care and support to over 6,500 people across South East London, both at home and in the hospice. We passionately believe that everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives. We need to fundraise £16 million each year to continue our services

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Mum was a caring and compassionate woman who gave 43 years of her life to the NHS, it was her dying wish to donate two syringe drivers to  St Christopher’s Hospice.

St Christopher’s provide an essential service within our community helping both patients and families through the most difficult of times, they  work tirelessly in the background, providing end of life care for so many of us yet rely entirely on charitable donations.

By providing Syringe drivers they are able to manage pain during end of life care,  administering  a continuous infusion of vital drugs- but more importantly, they allow people to remain at home; which was mum’s wish.

Mum’s greatest fear was being in pain and as her cancer progressed so did the pain. Having a syringe driver meant that mum could remain at home, comfortable and pain free.

We really cannot stress the importance of a syringe driver in delivering end of life care.

We are requesting donations instead of flowers- please dig deep.

Many thanks and stay safe everyone.
