On Friday the 20th August myself and Paolo will take part in a David Goggins challenge of 4 mile every 4 hours for a 48 hour period. We are doing this monstrous challenge to raise awareness for mental health and for the Alzheimer’s research which is very close to our hearts.
In the past couple of years our great uncle died due to dementia and not long after his death our Grandma (Nonna) was diagnosed with the disease. We have seen such a sharp, caring, driven and loving woman (who has a heart of pure gold) deteriorate before our very eyes. We might not know how long we have with her and spending those vital minutes with her means the world to both me and Paolo. We want to show her how much she has done for us by challenging ourselves in the best way possible.
