With the approval of Fran's family, we have established this fundraising page to carry on Fran's tradition of supporting libraries.  Growing up next to the library in a small town instilled a love of libraries that she embraced throughout her life.  As the founder of the Friends of the Ocala Public Library in 1980 (on her birthday!), she continued to serve the Friends and the Ocala Public Library for 40+ years.  Her legacy is evident through the members she brought into the group, the people she mentored along the way, and reaching the ultimate goal of The Ocala Public Library we enjoy today.
