Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've never done a challenge quite like this one - the furthest I've walked was probably on Duke of Edinburgh over a decade ago. I'm looking forward to getting back into it, but this is definitely going to be a challenge - continuous walking over 100km, and through the night over varied terrain to get to the island before the tide comes in. I hope I've left myself enough time to prepare - please donate to help motivate me to train!

Dementia is a devastating condition, but one that it will be possible to cure. If you want to learn a little more, please visit this link and share the orange: www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/orange/

There are 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and here it's the leading cause of death among women, yet it receives 7 times less funding than cancer. Current treatments help to relieve the symptoms, but they don't alter the disease course. ARUK are funding research into possible preventions and treatments for dementia, so please donate what you can. Every little helps!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
