Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2006 my energy and enthusiasm was taken from underneath me when I heard the news (hard to believe that a happy go lucky person like myself can be in a dark, dark world, but it happened). As the majority of you know my mum is my rock and to find out that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had to fight life's hardest battle was heart-breaking. However, if she can fight it then me doing a few bicycle challenges is nothing. Now my mum has fully recovered and got the all clear it is my goal to raise £5,000 in 3 years.

Last year I completed the same event and raised £765. This year I aim to get more people involved and aim to raise even more. Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sponsored me last year. I was unfortunate not to complete the course first time around and conquer Box Hill and Leith Hill as they closed off this part of the course due to an accident. Thus, this year I look to take on the course again and complete it in under 7 hours. The time limit set is a challenge within itself but with training and support I am sure it will be accomplished. As a result, I am looking for sponsors again and the money will be going to the same charity, Breast Cancer Care. These sponsors will push me over the finishing line and the more and more sponsors I get the more I will push myself to set an even better personal best!!!

With your help you can help me to help Breast Cancer Care reach their vision. They want every person affected by breast cancer to get the best treatment, information and support. One person cannot enable them to reach their vision, it is a team effort. So with your donations we can help them get one step closer to their ultimate dream and help them beat cancer. Every penny counts and will get me one step closer to reaching my goal for this challenge and ultimately my 3 year goal.

With your help you can allow the charity to continue their personal and unique experience with their patients. Breast Cancer Care use their understanding of the emotional and practical issues facing people affected by breast cancer alongside their clinical expertise. As a charity fundraiser I am not asking for you to develop a treatment that will solve all problems but I am asking you to support me in my challenges in the near future, if it is through support or a financial donation. Their team efforts have battled through many hurdles so a little team effort on our behalf shouldn't be hard at all.....so using the words of Barack Obama...can we do this?...Yes We Can!!!

So join me in my fight to beat the hurdles that will face me and ultimately join one of life's hardest battles of beating cancer. Just remember every penny counts and every penny will get us one step closer to relishing our dreams!!! through
