Tough mudder marathon for my grandad Georgie Storey

Tough Mudder London North 2018 · 7 July 2018 to 8 July 2018 ·
Hello people Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page 👍
I’m participating in the tough mudder marathon also known as “Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet”. I’ll be training & challenging my body mentally and physically for an obstacle course which takes no prisoners, extreme fitness, muscular endurance & persistence will only see competitors to the finish line. 20-25 obstacles such as Live electric wires hang over a field of mud which participants must traverse, high monkey bars, and a half pipe filled with mud and grease. This isn’t for the faint hearted. I’ll be doing this event in memory of my grandad Georgie who unfortunalty passed away on the 7th July last year after a short battle with cancer.
For thoughs who didn’t know my grandad heres a short picture of what sort of a character he was.
My grandad was like the best friend you could talk to all day long about the things you got up to at the weekend with your mates, whether they were good or bad he’d always give you some key “street education” always telling us to “put ya money in your socks” . A man who could turn a quiet pub into a comedy show & a small function into huge party. His voice was one off a kind and his laugh was noticeable from a distance. A man who enjoyed the little things in life like his hair, pigeon racing🤣, a cold pint, horse racing and having his family round for some company. He loved going on walks round the park with his dog and loved a cold jelly specially made by my grandmother Helen. He was a horse of a man, who convincingly made me and my cousins believe for donkeys years he won the WWE heavyweight title outright showing us his moves after having a few “snipers” (beer). His distinctive pigeon dance was one of a kind and could get the saddest of person laughing in no time. Apart from the all round comedian he was, he always motivated us to forfill our ambitions and dreams. A legend who will be cherished and very much missed forever who will always be adored by his family ❤️
Tough mudder is on the 7th of July 2018 which will be exactly a year since my grandad Georgie passed away so I’m going to give it my absolute all.
Donations will be going to cancer research.
