Story

I'm not very good with words when it comes to this but as some of you know my whole world has been completely shattered and I've become a completely different person since I've lost my best friend Christie to a rare type of brain cancer called glioblastoma.

Over 16.000 people a year are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Brain tumours are the biggest killers of teenagers and children, overtaking leukemia and less than 1% of cancer research's money goes towards this. It is also a fact that most people under the age of 40 die of a cancerous brain tumour over any other cancer.

Christie was diagnosed and told she had a 0% chance of survival, this disease is disgusting completely and awareness needs to be raised and a cure HAS to be found!

The Brain Tumour Charity, is a charity Christie told me was the best and this is why I've decided to do another fundraiser for them. I'm doing this to raise awareness and money for research as it was something she found so important.

This disease is the most EVIL thing i have ever come across and to have to watch someone you love go through it is a hell i wouldn't wish on anybody, and any money to help find a cure will count for so much.

You never think things like this can happen to you and the people you love. Its taught me that you never know what is around the corner and to donate money to maybe save somebody you love one day, there's no price i wouldn't of paid.

Christie - the most thoughtful, loving, kindhearted and hilarious girl i have met in my entire life. She put everybody else first throughout everyday and would still listen to me winge about silly little things and offer help and advice. She never complained or moaned and was there for everyone else throughout it. She is the best friend i ever could have wished for and my life will never be the same again without her, i miss her more than words every single second of every day. She was so brave everyday, and most days gave me the strength to get through as well as her other friends and family.

This is why a couple of years ago I decided to face my biggest FEAR and jump out of a plane from over 10,000ft.

This is why I am now giving up chocolate, sweets, biscuits and icecream for an entire MONTH. This is not a fear but this is something I truly believe will be close to impossible for me. Not a day goes by where I don't have at least one of the following, infact it's normally a standing joke that I live off sweets!! If someone is eating these near me or offers as much as I want to refuse, I can't help it! It's even true that once over a 4 day period I spent £50 on these items for myself and they all were gone! I'd find excuses to go to the shop just to pick up another bag of sweets! I'm an addict haha!

For me this will be incredibly hard, and something I really have to focus on in order not to slip up! It's something I am willing to do because whilst for me it's a hard struggle, compared to what other people go through it's nothing at all.

So please pretty please donate to help me raise money to go towards this. Even if its £1 every little bit of money will help. So if it's giving up one drink or a new pair of shoes I'll really appreciate every little bit of help i get.
