The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is George and I am preparing to take part in the Great South Run on the 24th October 2010, for the National Autistic Society (NAS), the UK's leading charity for people affected by autism.

I have chosen to raise funds for the NAS because I have a six year old son with autism.

Autism is much more common than most people think.  There are over half a million people in the UK with autism - thats around 1 in 100.  If you include their families, autism touches the lives of over two million people every day.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
