The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. This September I will be taking part in the Great North Swim, a 1 mile swim across lake Windermere, for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

This is a charity that helped my Granny when she went blind through Glaucoma.  She was an amazing person and a great inspiration. She was lucky enough to have two wonderful guide dogs who gave her much needed independence in rural Ireland. By supporting me in this event, you too can help many more blind people regain some independence with a new four legged friend.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation. So it’s the most efficient way to donate and more funds can be raised whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for your support.
