The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is dedicated to the long-term conservation of endangered mammals in the wild & the benefit of people sharing their environment. DSWF funds innovative projects protecting elephants, rhinos, lions, tigers, snow leopard, painted dog, pangolins & chimpanzees

Story

Goal: To further the aims of the Kafue Conservation
Project by empowering the communities living adjacent to Kafue National Park to improve their health and livelihoods through better management of their natural resources.

Summary: Targeting health, education, food security, sustainable livelihoods and human-wildlife conflict, every project implemented under Community Outreach and Education aims to achieve both development and conservation outcomes.

Currently operating in 25 remote, rural communities on the boarders of Kafue National Park,  Community Outreach
and Education collaborates with Game Rangers International’s Elephant Orphanage Project, Zambia Primate Project and Wildlife Veterinary Project in a consorted effort to protect the park’s wildlife.
