This fundraising will directly support the Guy's and St Thomas' Armed Forces Community. This programme is dedicated to improving the experience and outcomes for members of the Armed Forces Community, including serving personnel, veterans, reservists, their families, and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers — across patients, staff, and the wider community.

The Armed Forces Programme plays a vital role in ensuring that those who serve, or have served, receive equitable, inclusive, and well-informed care. Funds raised will help support dedicated care pathways, staff training, awareness initiatives, and targeted services that recognise the unique physical, mental, and social health needs of the Armed Forces community.

This work is especially important as it strengthens the connection between Defence and the NHS. It helps ensure that members of the Armed Forces community feel understood, valued, and properly supported when accessing healthcare or working within the Trust. The programme also provides meaningful support to NHS staff who have served, or continue to serve, enabling them to thrive in both their civilian and military roles.
