On the 13/14th July the G Squadron are running the 24 hour Spitfire Scramble race to raise money for little Gabriella to continue to get the best start in life and reach her full potential. 

Gabriella is a sparky, curious and social 3 year old who unexpectedly asphyxiated at birth leaving her with significant complex needs. Gabriella's diagnosis is quadriplegic, dystonic cerebral palsy - which means she is unable to (currently) stand, sit or walk independently, is tube fed and non-verbal. However she is also determined little lady and through private therapy is making great progress in learning to coordinate her body and communicate her needs and desires. The NHS is great for acute needs but struggles to support children like G and the level of support and equipment they need to thrive.

Therefore we are trying to raise funds for G to attend a UK intensive therapy programme this summer that will see her doing up to 3-4 hours of therapy a day. These intensives are where she makes most progress- and are also really fun for her. The least we felt we could do was do our best to keep running in relay team for 24 hours-  alongside our friend who is doing the event solo.   It won't be easy-  but with your support, encouragement and smiles from G we are determined to do our bit!
