This April I will be running/hobbling/stumbling across the finish line of the London Marathon in aid of The PSP Association!
PSP stands for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and is a lesser known incurable brain disease. It affects around 4,000 people in the UK at any time – though it is likely that there are many more undiagnosed cases.
5 years ago, we lost my Stepdad, Alan, to PSP. I am running to help support sufferers of the disease and in the hope of one day finding a cure.
I can say from first-hand experience that PSP is truly horrible. It robs the sufferer of the ability to eat, walk and talk, until they eventually become ‘trapped’ in their own body.
As the PSP Association is such an under-represented charity, any donations it receives go a long way. So your gift could really make a huge difference!
