Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our daughters, Hannah & Lauren are now 10 years old but back in 2007 we had quite a shock when we found out they were coming and then they gave us another shock when they arrived 7 weeks early. Duncan and I feel blessed that despite being so premature they were healthy even though they seemed so tiny. We were equally blessed when Owen was born in 2012.
Being a multiple family is amazing but it can be hard work too. We have had amazing support from our families but sadly others are not so fortunate. So I've decided to run the Oxford Half Marathon to raise money for Tamba.
Tamba is the only UK-wide charity working to improve the lives of twins, triplets or more, and their families. They do this through campaigning to improve health and developmental outcomes; funding clinical research to reduce the risks faced before, during and after birth; and by providing practical support for all families, including those in crisis.
If you could spare a few pounds to support this charity which is so important to my family and countless others, we'd really appreciate it.
I haven't run a half marathon before but I've been training for a few months and am hopeful of making it to the end! If you're in Oxford on the day, keep an eye out for me and give me a cheer! I'll be wearing a Tamba tshirt, probably a very pink face but hopefully a big smile too!
