Jonathan Lockdown London Marathon

Lockdown London Marathon · 26 April 2020
In 2008 I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma Tumour in my left eye. It was the size of my little finger nail and had to be removed one way or another ASAP. I was 6 weeks out from competing in the British Power lifting championships where I had won a silver medal the year before . I was told that dream wasn’t going to happen and on July 1st (my 33rd birthday) I would be having my left eye removed in an effort to stop it spreading to my liver , which if it did would be terminal . Luckily the NHS did such an amazing job I was out within two days with what seemed the all clear and yet only one eye. I have been to Sheffield university hospital every 6 months ever since and looked after in a phenomenally professional way every single time. I have had my moments and some scares along the way .. however I live by the Moto of NEVER GIVE IN . I hope to help raise some awareness and try support with some funds for research into cancer as a whole, as it is reported that one in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime at some point ! We must keep striving to find a cure.
Any amount donated is greatly appreciated, I thank you kindly in advance
