We provide specialist end-of-life care to people across North Hampshire

Story

I have visited 8 hospitals in the last year mainly to support my mother, Mary Lucas  with her treatment for cancer and my father in law Bill Green with heart disease. My mother is still receiving treatment at Guildford and Basingstoke hospitals and from St Michaels Hospice.

Bill sadly passed away in March 2022 at Harlow Hospital. He was a great cyclist and a huge fan of cycling. We used to go on cycling trips together. So this cycling trip would be something he would have loved.

I received a knee replacement 18 months ago at the Horder Centre Crowborough and feel grateful and fortunate that I am now able to cycle and do something positive by raising some money for St Michaels Hospice who do such an important job and rely on donations to continue their work.

My plan is as follows -

Weds 21st Sept - Cycle from Hastings to Crowborough's Horder Centre

Thurs 22nd Sept - Cycle from Crowborough to Guildford Hospital

Friday 23rd Sept - Cycle from Guildford to Frimley hospital and Basingstoke hospital and St Michaels Hospice.

Saturday 24th Sept - Basingstoke to Guys and St Thomas' Hospital London

Sunday 25th September - London to Harlow Hospital.
